Flour and Stone needs no introduction. The one-stop shop slings everything from tarts and scones to sandwiches, whole cakes, croissants and more. A.P Bakery has earned a lot of love amongst Sydneysiders very quickly. And for good reason, the bakery is currently dishing out some of the best baked goods in town. We’re talking pastrami pies, cheese toasties, great coffee and hearty aleppo and chickpea soup. Their lush pastrami pies are a must try.

You’ll find Upper Crust in Collaroy in the Northern Beaches. As the name suggests, they make some damn good crusty pies. 9. Lode Pies and Pastries
This pretty pink spot is a beloved shop located in a sunny Surry Hills corner. If their pleasing pink exterior wasn’t inviting enough, the aroma of their many pastry and pie options should do the trick. Available in both sweet and savoury flavours you can get your hands on wagyu pies, ham and cheese, pork pies and more. Just take a look at that filling.
10. Threefold Pastry
Threefold Pastry in the heart of Parramatta, makes some exceptionally good pies and pastries. Their chicken pie stuffed with chicken, peperonata, roasted tomatoes, marjoram is a knockout along with their hearty beef pie. They also have heaps of sweet options for those with a bit of a sweet tooth.

11. Banksia Bakehouse
Baksia Bakehouse is a force. Known for their OTT pies and desserts, if you’re a pie seeker, this is where you’ll want to go. Find delectable beef brisket pie, nacho chicken pie, mushroom stroganoff pie and more at this CBD spot.
12. Bourke Street Bakery
Easily one of the best bakeries in Sydney, Bourke Street Bakery does pies especially well. Their chicken, sweet potato and lemon pickle pies are a delight alongside their beef pie and vegan vege curry pie which are also brilliant. For just $3.50 per pie, both taste and quality are guaranteed at this bakery. P.S. try them with their homemade tomato sauce for extra flavour and punch.

Although Tuga is best known for it’s excellent Portuguese tarts, their homemade pies more than deserve a mention. Their chunky pies are both delicious and filling. While there, don’t forget to try their cruffins and donuts.
14. Funky Pies
A pie shop exclusively dishing out vegan pies and pastries, you’ll find Funky Pies in a buzzing corner of Bondi. Their flaky, crusty pies are excellent and the fact that they’re entirely vegan gives them an edge. We recommend trying their pies with mash and gravy on the side for a wholesome meal. Their Tuscan mushroom pie, funky chunky pie with shitake mushroom chunks, spicy Thai pie and Moroccan bean pie are packed with flavour.
15. Alevri
The pies at this Dulwich Hill cafe hit hard in the best way. Alveri is the place to go if you’re in the inner west with something on offer for everyone’s taste buds. Dig into moussaka pie and baklava cheesecake at this Greek bakery, it tastes exactly how you imagine it. Their beef and pasta pie are also very popular.
