Sydney WorldPride kicks off this February with a bevy of vibrant experiences set to take over the city. From all-day beach parties to the return of Fleurs De Villes, there’s a range of ways you can join in and show your support for Sydney’s LGBTQUIA+ community. Parramatta Park is also joining in on the action with a public art experience for all. Set against a completely dark park, The Crescent will light up in all the hues of the rainbow for one hour. This Instagrammable display celebrates diversity and inclusion and aims to represent all facets of the LGBTQUIA+ community.
Parramatta Park, Sydney WorldPride
The sprawling outdoor amphitheatre in the heart of Parramatta Park will be drenched in light and colour this February. Encapsulating this year’s Mardi Gras theme, ‘Gather, Dream, Amplify,’ this is one of the few World Pride events happening in western Sydney.
Whether you’re looking to get a unique snap for your Instagram or try some fun tricks with your camera, this is the place to be. Directed by master light artist, Peter Solness, visitors will get a chance to capture their own shots of luminous light tunnels, orbs and ribbons or you can become a part of the rainbow by swinging a coloured light. This vibrant event is free to attend so don’t miss out.
