French restaurant Mirazur, widely considered one of the world’s finest restaurants is coming to Sydney for a three-week residency. Mirazur took out the top spot in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019 and was simultaneously awarded its third Michelin star in the same year. It is also one of only eight restaurants in the world on The Best of the Best group of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Chef and owner, Mauro Colagreco and his team are bringing a unique dining experience to our shores inspired by Australian produce. The three Michelin-starred restaurant is set to take over Pier One on Sydney Harbour from March 10-31.
Mirazur, Sydney
The residency is part of the Mirazur Beyond Borders project, which sees the Mirazur team travelling the world and deriving inspiration from different cultures and diverse ingredients and producers.
“I am thrilled to cook in Sydney, as it’s such a diverse Australian city, where many cultures and foods coexist,” Colagreco said.
“What I love about Australian gastronomy, and particularly Sydney’s, is that it has been influenced by many different cultures, from Asian to European, and a large range of produce to create its own gastronomy, and reinvents itself constantly.”
A completely new food and beverage menu will be created for Sydney diners and the culinary experience will be housed at the beautiful waterfront location of The Gantry. Bookings are now open and you can snag a spot here. Mirazur will be open for lunch and dinner five days per week, Wednesdays to Sundays.
2023 is off to a flying start for the hospitality industry with acclaimed UK restaurant L’Enclume also heading to an exciting waterfront location in Sydney.
