It’s a great time to be a food lover in Sydney with a number of new and exciting restaurants opening in the city and delivering in spades. Now the city can also look forward to some fine European flair when three-Michelin-starred L’Enclume opens at Balmoral Beach. Acclaimed British chef and restaurateur Simon Rogan will launch an exciting five-week residency at the gorgeous Bathers’ Pavilion later this year, bringing one of the world’s best dining experiences to our shores.
L’Enclume, Sydney
L’Enclume’s journey started 20 years ago in a former 13th-century blacksmith workshop in Cartmel in Northern England. After earning its third Michelin star in 2022, the restaurant is replicating its renowned style of service and farm-to-table dining in Sydney.
The 8-course, degustation-only menu will feature small and complex dishes along with snacks and petit fours plated on exclusive crockery made in Australia.
Making it a uniquely Sydney experience is its stunning beachside location of Balmoral Beach with sandy shores and sprawling water views for days.
“The Sydney residency marks a big milestone for us as we enter our third decade,” Rogan said adding that some of L’Enclume’s most outstanding dishes will be served with local ingredients sourced from NSW and Australia.
“Produce is our driving force and Australia has some of the best in the world. We are looking forward to experimenting with ingredients we haven’t had the opportunity to work with before and cooking them simply to highlight their natural taste, texture and fragrance and extract maximum flavour and interest.”, Rogan added.
Key members of the UK team along with staff from restaurants around the world will accompany Rogan during the Sydney residency.
The one-of-a-kind and intimate experience runs from Wednesday, 19 July to Sunday 20 August at Bathers’ Pavilion and you can book a spot today. Mark your calendars and head here for more details.
