Vivid Sydney has revealed its exciting 2025 program, and while some crowd favourite events like the epic drone show, Lightscape, and Dark Spectrum won’t be returning, there’s a lot more to look forward to including exclusive dinners curated by celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, set in glowing underground tunnels and Stranger Things: The Experience at Luna Park. One immersive display you should add to your itinerary is Space to Dream — a large-scale interactive display at Darling Harbour, featuring three floating waterfalls illuminated with colour and light. Here’s what you need to know about this Instagrammable display.
Space to Dream
With the theme ‘Dream’, Vivid Sydney 2025 promises to transport visitors to another world. Expect whimsical light displays, thought-provoking talks, 3D animations, and much more. The spectacular Light Walk will also be back, showcasing some of the festival’s most awe-inspiring highlights — and the best part? It’s all completely free to enjoy this year. As you stroll, keep your eyes peeled for Space to Dream, a mesmerising installation featuring three floating waterfalls suspended above the water, illuminating the bay and its surroundings.
There’s also a special, interactive zone where you can step inside and become part of the installation. Presented by Samsung Electronics Australia, the display is free to visit and a must-see in 2025. Head to Cockle Bay in Darling Harbour from May 23 to June 14 to check it out.
