Vivid Sydney is back with its stacked 2024 program soon and one major event from last year which has also made a dazzling return is the multi-sensory Lightscape experience which is back from May 24 to June 15 at the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney. The immersive light and sound show which made its way to Sydney for the first time in 2023 features a number of exciting light installations including a tunnel lit up with thousands of lights, glowing tree canopies, sparkling fixtures and more near The Calyx.
Lightscape, Royal Botanic Garden
The popular event returns in a reimagined version for its 2024 edition after a sold-out season last year. Start your 1.8km journey through this immersive world by walking through a field of giant flowers, then see neon roots bursting from the undergrowth and walk past a flickering fire garden all lit-up with stunning installations.
You’ll also find tree canopies, glowing tunnels and more in this highlight event. And don’t let the weather stop you from heading out, there’s a number of food trucks on-site dishing out winter-warming food and drinks that’ll warm you up from the inside out.
This year, tickets for the event are timed in 15-minute increments from 5.00pm or 6.00pm onwards depending on the day with entry from the Queen Elizabeth II Gate via Sydney Opera House Forecourt only. Feel the glow of twinkling lights and get lost in a kaleidoscope of colours at this unique event until June 15. Grab your tickets here to avoid missing out.
