The countdown to Vivid Sydney is officially on and the festival promises to be brighter and bolder than ever before in 2023. For 23 days and nights, the lights will turn on across a number of locations in Sydney including Circular Quay, The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Central Station and Sydney icons like the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Museum of Contemporary Art. A major highlight of the event is the multi-sensory experience Lightscape, which is making its way to Sydney for the first time ever and bringing all the glittering lights, colours and sounds with it.

After making the rounds in the US, UK and Melbourne, the Royal Botanic Garden is set to get a major glow-up when Lightscape makes its Sydney debut this May. And it couldn’t have found a better home than one of the world’s largest festivals of light, music and ideas. Go on a 2.1km journey through a magical and immersive world filled with light and colour.
You’ll find glowing tree canopies, vibrant flowers and beautiful, glowing tunnels in this highlight event. Better yet, tickets are already on sale and considering the raving reviews from other cities, it’s set to be a sell-out event. Grab yours here to avoid missing out.
On every day Lightscape is planned, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney will close to the public at 5.00pm and reopen to Lightscape ticket holders from 5.30pm onwards so you can enjoy the event to the fullest.
