Customs House Forecourt will soon host an authentic French Christmas market complete with melted cheese stations, mulled wines, French chalets and nutcrackers. Organised by the team behind the hugely successful Bastille Festival, you can expect all the traditional French flair at this Christmas market and a lot more.

The Bastille French Christmas Market is gearing up to bring an exceptional array of French wines and mouth-watering treats your way along with a splendid festive atmosphere from December 17-20.

2. Carriageworks Twilight Christmas Market

From 4pm-9pm on December 22, the Carriageworks Twilight Christmas Market will host over 80 stalls offering you all your Christmas needs under one roof.

Right from all your favourite holiday sweet treats like pudding, cakes and confectionaries to premium quality hams, poultry and seafood to sort out your Christmas lunch, you can go expecting some serious edible delights. Also on offer are some seriously gorgeous florals for your holiday décor and handcrafted spirits, craft beers, cocktails and wines.

3. Vegan Christmas Market

The Sydney Vegan Market is traditionally a sunny, day-time affair on the third Sunday of every month. The team behind the uber-popular markets, featuring over a 100 epic stalls is now back and bigger than ever.

On Sunday, December 19, the Sydney Olympic Park will play host to the sprawling markets from 9am-4pm.

Following the success of the first ever Sydney Vegan Night Market, the Christmas edition of the markets will see a number of plant-based and cruelty free stalls featuring homewares, food, art and much more.

4. The Rocks Christmas Market

The Rocks really brings its A game when it comes to Christmas markets. The cobbled streets of Sydney’s historic neighbourhood come alive with fairy lights, live music, festive décor and delicious holiday-themed street food.

The Christmas Market at The Rocks feature over 70 stalls until December 19 serving as a one-stop shop for all your Christmas needs. Expect everything from local artisans to festive treats and heaps of Australian-made goods.

5. Sydney Fish Market 36-Hour Seafood Marathon

The yearly Sydney Fish Market Seafood Marathon has now been a Christmas tradition and a summer fixture in Sydney for over 20 years.

For the uninitiated, the Sydney Fish Market opens their doors every year from 5am on December 23 until 5pm on Christmas Eve, with everything from premium and local seafood, fresh produce and gift shops available on site. You can also expect a bakery, deli and bottle shop for the set duration.
