Sydney’s Christmas markets are back and this year’s iterations include something for everyone. One of the most fun things to do for Christmas is hunting for holiday decorations, festive treats, special crafts and customised gifts. From Pittwater to The Rocks, here are some of the best Christmas markets in Sydney to check out this year.
1. Martin Place Christmas Market
Martin Place is set to host a 40-stall market filled with food, fashion, gifts, festive decor and Christmas puddings. 3b Designs, Kikinoki zen products, Nakheel premium bedding, Berliner Bakery donuts, Thicc Cookies, Natas and Co and Cora are some among the many stallholders participating.
The markets are set to run on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27, then every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in December until Christmas Eve, from 11am-8pm.
2. Carriageworks Twilight Christmas Market
Get all your Christmas Shopping done under one roof at the Carriageworks Twilight Christmas Market on December 21 from 4pm-9pm.
Expect your favourite holiday sweet treats like pudding, cakes and confectionaries to premium quality hams, poultry and seafood to sort out your Christmas lunch. Also on offer are some seriously gorgeous florals for your holiday décor and handcrafted spirits, craft beers, cocktails and wines.
3. The Makers and Shakers Market
Sydneysiders are no strangers to the Makers and Shakers Market. This time around the organisers are bringing a giant Christmas market to town, featuring over a hundred top-notch stalls from homewares and food to sustainable fashion.
The harbourside market with a strong focus on Australian-made products will spotlight stallholders like Studio Flos, Outer Island, Lost Collective, Voluptuary Ceramics, The Social Outfit and more.
4. The Rocks December Market
The Rocks is the place to be during Christmas. The cobbled streets of Sydney’s historic neighbourhood come alive with fairy lights, live music, festive décor and delicious holiday-themed street food.
The Christmas Market at The Rocks is the one-stop shop for all your Christmas needs. Expect everything from handmade jewellery to festive treats and heaps of Australian-made goods, plus Portuguese egg tarts, woodfired pizzas and handmade chocolate.
5. Sydney Fish Market 36-Hour Seafood Marathon
The yearly Sydney Fish Market Seafood Marathon has now been a Christmas tradition and a summer fixture in Sydney for over 20 years.
The markets open their doors every year from 5am on December 23 until 5pm on Christmas Eve, with everything from premium and local seafood, fresh produce and gift shops available on site. You’ll also find a bakery, deli and bottle shop on-site. Forget Santa Claus and Christmas carols, if you’re a foodie, this is where it’s at.

The Cambridge EQ Ultimate Christmas Market is easily one of our favourites because they’re all about the shop small, shop local philosophy. So you can support local businesses while getting your hands on some seriously good products.
Over 150 stallholders will be participating with everything from candles, wreaths, baubles, homewares, wrapping paper, cards and Christmas ornaments and food on the table.
7. The Shire Christmas Market
The thing you can’t beat at The Shire Christmas market is the view. Set against Cronulla Beach at the Don Lucas Reserve, the markets are back this year and bigger than ever with 150 stalls to shop from. Enjoy a day of shopping, eating and community on Saturday and Sunday, November 26 and 27 from 10am to 4pm.
8. Glebe Christmas Market
The Glebe Christmas Market will ensure that the inner west gets a taste of the Christmas magic on December 3 from 10am to 4pm. Expect shopping, food and lots of festive cheer at this new shopping spot.
9. Green Square Christmas Fair
The Green Square Plaza is set to transform into a Christmas hotspot with markets, entertainment, food and heaps of dazzling lights.
The fair will also have a bar so the adults can enjoy a drink while the kids dance to tunes by DJ’s Peter Baecker and Kate Monroe. The Christmas fair will set up shop on Saturday, December 3 from 6pm–10pm.
10. Mosman Christmas Night Market
