An immersive portal is coming to town and it will take you straight to the bustling streets of Singapore right here in Sydney. The latest in the spate of immersive pop-ups in town is The Singaportal, a two-day event that will take over Circular Quay this September. The event will bring the pulsating nightlife of Singapore to our shores with vibrant hawker stalls, dazzling walkways and more.
The Singaportal, Sydney
Step inside the Singaportal and be greeted by a number of fun activities and a bevy of food and drink stalls. Enjoy a Singapore Sling, the country’s famous gin-based sling cocktail at the recreated Long Bar from Raffles Hotel before heading to the Hawker Street tables for all the snacks and booze. The pop-up also promises to be extra Instagrammable complete with Singapore’s unique Supertree grove and even a Merlion recreation. Plus, there’s a colourful laneway reminiscent of Haji Lane, home to funky cafes and vibrant murals.
As you make your way further into the Singaportal, DJs will keep the party going with fun sets throughout the event.
The two-day pop-up comes to town courtesy of Klook and the Singapore Tourism Board on September 7 and 8. Only two sessions will be held each night so you’ll want to get in fast to score a spot. Tickets will set you back by $20 per person. Get more info and book a spot here.
