Goblins, ghosts, witches, and ghouls galore will descend upon Sydney’s oldest neighbourhood to celebrate the spookiest season of them all: Halloween. Promising to take this year’s festivities up a notch is a first-of-its-kind Halloween Festival that is set to transform The Rocks into a ghostly playground in October for 4 days. Petrifying parties, spooky screenings, zombie discos, and a lot more is on the horizon with “Ghost in The Rocks” from October 31 to November 3. Read on for highlights.
Ghost in The Rocks, Halloween Festival
Spooky season may be a while away but it’s never too early to get into the spirit of the season. The Rocks will morph into an eerie ghost town for the event with massive tentacles slithering out of buildings, scare zones and flickering lights. Plus, get a chance to mingle with mysterious creatures as they wander the streets.
The full program will drop in September but some highlight events will include a ghost cinema hosting spooky screenings, murder mystery parties at a pop-up bar, a Halloween parade where a procession of costumed characters and floats will take to the streets and a groovy zombie disco where you can shimmy in your spookiest outfit. Entry to the festival is free.
The Rocks is famed for its haunted history so it’s the ideal playground for an event such as this. Ghost in The Rocks comes from the creative minds behind stellar Sydney events like Mov’in Cinemas and Bastille Festival.
