A Month-Long Food Festival Is Taking Over The Northern Beaches This May • Taste of the Beaches

What’s better than gorging on scrumptious food and drinking by the beach?

For the whole month of May, the Northern Beaches are transforming into a foodie’s paradise with over thirty restaurants and food outlets setting up shop at various Northern Beaches locations. From Manly to Palm Beach, the food festival titled, Taste of the Beaches, is set to dominate with several well-known participating restaurants. (Featured image: Soheb Zaidi via Unsplash.)

Food enthusiasts will remember the popular Taste of Manly event which was also a celebration of all things food, wine and beach. The event was cancelled in 2020, like most other things but is gearing up to make a splashing return in the form of Taste of the Beaches.

The event includes a diverse line-up of events right from creative food trucks to smokey cocktails to French-inspired high teas, there’s something for everyone. You can experience Daniel San turning into a Tokyo-style street market with our favourite Japanese eats on offer or head over to Harbord Hotel at Freshwater for a scrumptious five-course tasting menu.

There’s also a food truck party at Mona Vale on May 15 that promises to be a relaxing, outdoorsy event for the family and the Harbord Diggers Craft Beer Festival on May 29 if you want to get your drink on. From Wednesday to Sunday every week, you can also enjoy a delicious meal under the stars, with live music strumming in the background and lend a supporting hand to some local businesses at the Market Lane Live event.

There’s heaps to choose from and there’s something for everyone. The event is COVID-safe and all precautions are being taken to ensure protocols are met so that the festival is bigger and better than ever before.
