The Northern Beaches are transforming into a food lovers paradise this month of May. A number of restaurants and food outlets are setting up shop at various Northern Beaches locations. From Manly to Palm Beach, the food festival titled Taste of the Beaches, is set to dominate with a number of Sydney favourites getting in on the action.
From creative food trucks to delicious cocktails and French-inspired high teas, there’s something for everyone.
Taste of the Beaches, 2022
Head to the Palm Beach Wine Garden and drink yourself silly with a range of wineries and food outlets on site. Taste of Manly returns at Manly Oval on May 28 and 29. Find food stalls from your favourite restaurants and cafes or enjoy a tasty tipple with local distilleries and wineries.
At Market Lane Live you can enjoy delicious paella, mulled wine and live music on May 5. Over at Narrabeen, there are heaps of Cinco De Mayo festivities on at Frida’s Mexican Kitchen. Featuring live Mexican music from El Lauren Loco of Clearwater Music and food and drink specials, it promises to be a celebration to remember.
Other highlights
A food truck party will take over the beachside suburb of Mona Vale on May 21. And if you want to get your drink on, keep Belgrave Cartel on your radar. Slinging delicious wines and intimate dinners, it promises to be a romantic night out. But wait, there’s more. Dive into sticks, skewers and sake at Sunset Sabi and get your fill of bubble waffles at the Little Shop of Waffles.
