This café is as adorable as it sounds.
Picture this: a warm, delicious waffle filled with rich flavour, a steaming cup of joe and the magical ambience of The Corso in this weather. The Little Shop of Waffles is here to give you just that but with a fun little twist. Located on The Corso at Manly, the café is the brainchild of four friends — Irene Zalami, Saskia Schuck, Naomi Mourra and Alex Potter — who were inspired to introduce the popular Hong-Kong street eat to Sydney. The bubble waffles are made with flour, eggs, evaporated milk and sugar and poured into moulds to give them their bubbly shape. Adding an Aussie element to the traditional bubble waffle- the café is replete with flavours such as pavlova — blending pavlavo gelato with fresh fruit and meringue inside an original waffle or ChocBerry which is double the incentive for chocolate loves with a rich choc-cookie gelato. Also on offer are fresh and sweet strawberries, the much loved oreo biscuit, and a Kit Kat finger with a splash of chocolate sauce.
As if we needed another reason to plan an evening by the sea indulging in some yummy waffles, the café is big on sustainability with a heart to give back. $1 from each purchase of their latest amazing flavour — Banana-Carma, goes to the the Northern Beaches Women Shelter (NBWS).
The Little Shop of Waffles is open from 10am-5pm on Wednesday and Thursday; 10am-9pm on Friday and Saturday; and 10am-6pm on Sunday.
