It’s the stuff of childhood dreams.
If you have a sweet tooth you’ll remember the Museum of Love by Sugar Republic earlier this year. Complete with confetti showers and gorgeous backdrops, it was a true feast for the eyes — and for the Instagram feed. Now the team behind the exhibit is bringing a glorious, nostalgia-inducing Willy Wonka themed immersive experience to town and it’s just the escape we need after the last few months!
Sugar Republic’s candyland experience
Sugar fiends — gear up for an absolute rollercoaster of a sugar rush. 15 immersive spaces over 2 floors dedicated especially to all the sweet stuff you can ask for — lollies, ice creams and sweet treats galore, await you.
You can also dive head first into a pool of marshmallows, jump out of a ginormous, life-sized birthday cake, enter a human sized gumball machine and play in a massive Sprinkles ball pit. Free lollies and ice creams are up for grabs for every visitor.
This years celebration is extra sweet with Sugar Republic collaborating with several local artists and iconic Aussie confectionary brands. Think walls laced with Honey Jumbles and an entire living room dedicated to iconic Aussie Biccies.
Other highlights include a Bubble O’ Bill and Jill’’s Wild West Saloon, a teddy bear’s picnic, a scratch’n’sniff wall and loads more.
Lillian Ahenkan, known as Flex Mami, will design a special interactive room where visitors can spin a ‘wheel of fortune’ to find out what the future holds.
Also on board is Sydney artist and designer Stavroula Adameitis aka Frida Las Vegas who has collaborated with Sugar Republic to create a 9 metre long artwork called ‘Milk Bar Dreams’ — an ode to suburban-childhood treats.
Have we piqued your interest yet? Sugar Republic runs for a limited time starting next month and tickets are on sale now. You’ll want to snap up yours before they sell out. Even better — you can use your reignited Discover vouchers at the event.
