Ramen enthusiasts, rejoice. A brand new ramen restaurant has come to town courtesy of esteemed Sokyo executive chef and owner of popular sashimi diner Simulation Senpai — Chase Kojima. Titled Senpai Ramen, the dining experience has officially opened its doors in Chatswood. You can expect a playful and eclectic menu offering some of Australia’s best produce to create a fine dining experience for the books.

‘Omakase’ translates to ‘leave it to the chef’ so you can expect a carefully curated menu by the chef. And considering Kojima’s extensive repertoire, you can expect it to be a culinary experience.
The restaurant will seat up to 25 people and guests can also look forward to a special drinks menu that Kojima has designed in partnership with another name to reckon with — PS40 bartender and owner, Michael Chiem.
On the cards are some seriously mouth-watering snacks and rich tonkotsu ramen. While ramen takes centrestage, you can look forward to a number of interesting dishes, think wagyu cooked over charcoal and 12-hour simmered abalone.
“I want Senpai Ramen to have the playfulness of omakase. I want to help take our guests a little bit out of their comfort zone and let
them try something they have never had before: an entirely new ramen experience,” Chase Kojima said.
“The concept of the restaurant will be comforting, relaxing service but very professional,” he added.
This is yet another feather in Chatswood’s cap which is already home to some of the city’s finest Asian eateries and dessert shops.
