Sydney is buzzing with excitement as Taylor Swift’s epic Eras Tour makes its way to the city next week. The Blank Space singer is set to perform a huge 3-hour retrospective of all her 10 albums with four shows planned in Sydney on February 23, 24, 25 and 26. Needless to say, Swifties are in for an unforgettable experience but with over 300,000 people set to descend upon Accor Stadium where the shows are set to take place, some careful planning can be key to ensuring the evening lives up to your wildest dreams. Thankfully, Transport NSW is running hundreds of additional trains and buses to Sydney Olympic Park. Here are some tips and tricks you need to know to navigate transport at the concerts.
What is the best way to get to Taylor Swift’s concerts?
Transport NSW encourages concertgoers to catch the bus or train to the Sydney Olympic Park. Transport fare is covered in your tickets and dozens of trains and buses will be running during the concerts so this is the easiest way to get to and from the stadiums.
Getting there
To reach your Eras Tour destination, get off at Olympic Park Station and take an exit via Olympic Boulevard. From here it’ll be a 10-minute walk to the stadium where you’ll no doubt be accompanied by several other Swifties.
What buses are running for the Taylor Swift in Sydney?
Bus services will run every 5 to 20 minutes between 2.42pm and 6.33pm on Friday and Monday and between 3.05pm and 6.38pm on Saturday and Sunday, depending on the route. The last return bus will leave Olympic Park at midnight so plan your return journey accordingly.
Which trains go to the Eras Tour concerts in Sydney?
There will be several express and limited-stop trains running from Central and Western Line stations from the afternoon until late each day. Plan your trip here.
What if you’re planning to drive to the stadium?
Driving to the stadium is not recommended unless you have pre-booked parking at a flat rate of $35. Try your luck at grabbing a spot here.
Alternatively, you could drive to a nearby station and hop on the train to Sydney Olympic Park at no extra cost.
