See the Sydney Opera House as you’ve never seen it before—after dark.
The world’s most photographed theatre is now selling tickets to shows and performances for just $21 every day for the rest of the summer making the Opera House even more accessible than ever before. (Featuerd image: @kevinbosc)
However, there are times and a fair few spaces inside the building that no audience member or guest of the Opera House has ever been able to experience. That’s all about to change though, now that the Opera House is opening up after dark when all the performers, musicians, workers and patrons have gone home.
The House After Dark sees ”a brand new sensory experience” arrive at the Opera House where guides will lead groups of just ten people on a tour of the previously restricted spaces, revealing the hidden secrets and phantoms that call this Opera House home. Off-limit spaces that you will now have access to include the Old Changing Room Corridor and the Piano Store.
Attendees will enter through the stage door at 9:45pm where they will knock back a drink for added courage and a bite to eat so that the sounds of grumbling stomachs don’t go frightening the group before treading carefully through the dark.
The 90-minute tours take place most Fridays and Saturdays in February and March with the first tours taking place this Friday 22 January and Saturday 23 January.
Tickets cost $55 per person. For more info and bookings, head over to the website.
