Back to being an angsty teen.
My Chemical Romance have announced an arena tour of Australia next year.
The emo legends were gearing up to perform Down Under last year but their attempt to do so was foiled by the pandemic much to the dismay of their legion of Australian fans.
But with the world showing some semblance of normalcy, the band has announced a major Australian tour in 2022. MCR will be playing three major shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. This will mark the first major tour of the band since Big Day Out in 2012.
The band is gearing up to perform in Brisbane on March 14 at the Brisbane Entertainment Center followed by Melbourne on March 17 at the Rod Laver Arena. And finally Sydney’s Qudos Band Arena will play host to the band on March 19 in what we’re sure will be an epic sign off. My Chemical Romance had initially disbanded in 2013, later reuniting in 2019 in a glorious comeback. They’ve since been trying to get their new show on the road. This follows the news of Kings of Leon also announcing their Australian tour in 2022.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale on May 27 on the band’s official website. Tickets will also go on sale here on May 26 so set your alerts.
