Western Sydney is increasingly becoming the place to be in the Harbour City. Aside from the city’s first-ever artificial surf park, a mega soon-to-open snow resort and water recreation centre, the busy region of NSW is also home to Australia’s largest Asian shopping hub. If you live and breathe the K-lifestyle, you’re probably already a regular at Eastwood’s Kmall 09. Its second location in the city can be found in Lidcombe, and it’s touted as Australia’s biggest Asian supermarket serving up a slew of food, beauty, lifestyle and more. Here’s everything you need to know.
Kmall 09, Lidcombe
You can find everything from Korean groceries, BBQ meats, clothing, bedding, beauty, skincare and trendy household goods under one roof at this huge 2-storey store. Additionally, the supermarket will host various Korean eateries dishing out hearty street food like freshly made-to-order samjin amook or fish cake, bread, buddumak and fried chicken alongside a food court and dining area.
It’s nearly twice the size of its Eastwood counterpart at 2000 square metres, and a dedicated space on the second floor for K-pop addicts, featuring extra dining room and a liquor store serving soju, beer and sake.
You can find the Asian supermarket at Lidcombe Shopping Centre on Parramatta Road, and it’s open from 8.30am to 9pm every day. Head to their website to see the full range of goods and products on offer and follow their Facebook page for regular updates.
