Western Sydney’s ambitious artificial surf park is just days away from opening. Construction has been well underway for some time and the park has finally announced its long-awaited opening date. Like its Melbourne counterpart, Urbnsurf Sydney will feature a diamond-shaped surf lagoon driven by a modern and innovative Wavegarden “Cove” technology enabling the facility to generate two-meter-high waves every eight seconds. The surf park is set to open in a matter of weeks, on Monday, May 13.
Their website states:
“Sydney is blessed with a large number of surfing beaches, but access to those beaches and crowding in the line-up is becoming an increasing issue. URBNSURF Sydney will provide an authentic alternative to ocean-based surfing for Sydney residents and visitors to #surfmore safely, easily and often.”

Thanks to LED lighting, the man-made surf park will dazzle and shine after hours, with options to dip your toes in post-work.
