There’s no shortage of iconic duos in Sydney but this one might just take the cake for being the bougiest of them all. KFC has teamed up with fine dining restaurant Nel. for the collab of our literal dreams. The CBD venue, known for it’s eclectic and diverse degustations especially their ever popular Disney themed dining experience, is now dropping an 11-course set menu based on everyone’s favourite fried chicken indulgence. What a time to be alive.
KFC degustation
Get your crunch on with this limited time degustation consisting of all your favourite KFC dishes. Set to be held at a secret Alexandria location, the degustation will provide a fine dining makeover to regular menu items. We’re talking ‘Supercharged Wings’ cooked over charcoal, Popcorn Chicken served with celeriac soup, mushroom gnocchi and basil, topped with an edible floral garnish and Chocolate Mousse dipping in nitrogen in an innovative spin to the humble dessert.
Also on the menu is La Di Da Drumstick, adding quinoa and gold to the OG drumsticks and perhaps the highlight of them all — the Tongue Twister. Featuring a portrait of Colonel Sanders as a KFC logo recreated with rich flavours of fried chicken, tomato, lettuce and pepper mayo the dish quite literally encourages you to pick up the plate and lick off the Colonel’s face.
While you feast, 100 percent of the profits will be donated to KFC’s charity partners like The Black Dog Institute, ReachOut Australia and Whitelion. The demand for the feast is naturally quite high. Sign up to KFC’s waitlist to snag some tickets. If you manage to secure a spot, you’ll be contacted with all the details.
The KFC degustation will be on for 3 days at a secret location from today, April 1 to Sunday, April 3.
Talk about a level up.
