The first half of 2022 has seen some incredible live theatre in Sydney. From the phenomenal Phantom of the Opera spectacular to Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, the city has been dazzled by a number of incredible shows. Adding to the list was the 15-time Tony Award nominated Broadway musical, Jagged Little Pill playing at the Theatre Royal Sydney. Although the show only opened this month, it’s final performance has been set for August 14 in Sydney.
The producers said in a statement: “Despite glowing reviews, rapturous audiences and the tenacity, talent and commitment of our company, due to the combination of the new covid wave and uncertain operating conditions, we have made the difficult decision to close the Sydney run on 14 August and suspend the planned tour.”
