Sydney has no shortage of Instagrammable cafes and restaurants so there’s no excuse for a dull feed. Now a recent study makes a strong case for the most Instagrammable restaurant not only in Sydney but also in the world. The Grounds of Alexandria is a popular local favourite that has won the hearts of people around the city but more importantly of people on Instagram so it’s no surprise that it’s been deemed the most photogenic restaurant of them all.
Most Instagrammable restaurants in the world
According to a recent study by Betway, which analysed 100 restaurants around the world, the Grounds of Alexandria came out on top as the most click-worthy spot with a total of 120k hashtags.
If you’ve dined here, this will hardly come as a surprise. The breezy space is a café, bar, restaurant and garden all rolled into one and is a photography hotspot for its oh-so-‘grammable installations right from its dreamy floral Secret Garden to its snowy winter wonderland. Housed within a disused pie factory from the 1920s, the enchanting space has an organic garden, adorable farm animals, a flower market, a dedicated wedding space and excellent coffee making it a wholesome weekend activity for Sydneysiders.
The Grounds was followed by Sketch in London, Catch in Los Angeles and Pink Mamma in Paris. Here are the top ten most Instagrammable restaurants in the world:
- The Grounds of Alexandria, Sydney
- Sketch, London
- Catch, Los Angeles
- Pink Mamma, Paris
- The Salt Lick BBQ, Driftwood
- Man Wah, Hong Kong
- Thip Samai, Bangkok
- Le Coucou, New York City
- La Favela, Bali
- Dalloway Terrace, London
The number of Instagram posts under each restaurant’s hashtag were studied to determine the most popular spots around the world. Check out the full study here and find out what’s on at The Grounds this autumn.
