Flanked by crystal clear waters, a sprawling marine park, boutique eateries, and plenty of small-town charm, Huskisson makes for the ideal road trip from Sydney. Plenty of outdoor adventures are on offer, including a peaceful bush retreat at Paperbark Camp, stunning white sands, and Caribbean-like blue waters at Booderee National Park. Water enthusiasts and nature lovers will have plenty to do with options for snorkelling, fishing, diving, and kayaking. There are also stunning bushwalks and unspoiled white sand beaches in the area. You could also spend a relaxing afternoon at a coastal brewery surrounded by incredible views. Even better, it’s just a short 15-minute drive from the world-famous Hyams Beach so you could spend the weekend beach hopping.
In other categories, Kiama won gold in the Top Tourism Town category while Merimbula took out the top spot in the Small Tourism Town category. The three towns will now go on to compete Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards for 2025.
