Sydney has currently transformed into a rainbow city for WorldPride. From concerts, parties, parades and more, the city is buzzing with a number of exciting things to do. The Rocks is also glamming up for the occasion by bringing back Frocks on The Rocks in its boldest edition yet. The fashion show will take over First Fleet Park and everyone with a penchant for fun, flamboyant fashion is invited.
Frocks on The Rocks
Created by performance artist and designer Brendan de la Hay and hosted by cabaret and drag artist Trevor Ashley, the fashion event will come to town on March 5 from 9.30am to 2pm complete with a glam station and market stalls. Plus sport your sparkliest outfits and strut your stuff down a catwalk and you could get your hands on some cool prizes in this fun and inclusive event.
Wind down at Frocks on The Rocks after the mammoth Pride March on the same day from 7am to 10am where 50,000 people are expected to walk across the Harbour Bridge in their boldest colours.
Other events to watch out for in the vicinity include Genext x Pride at the MCA — the city’s biggest celebration of creativity, diversity and community specifically for young people. The event includes artmaking and fashion workshops accompanied by live music and performances.
