In celebration of spring’s arrival, an underrated spot in Sydney is set to be transformed after dark with an immersive new light and sound experience. Dubbed Echoes, the open-air event will feature everything from glowing installations and floral projections to ambient soundscapes and fluorescent flower fields made for Instagram. The event will take over the heritage-listed Bella Vista Farm, one of The Hills Shire’s most historic landmarks, offering a sprawling green space and a rustic setting that feels a world away. Here’s everything you need to know.
Echoes, Bella Vista Farm

Created by Laservision, the team behind Shellharbour’s popular Enchanted Forest event, the dreamy light trail blends cutting-edge visuals with a connection to local history, making it a must-visit event for both locals and visitors this month.
Stroll through neon-lit flower fields, explore a reimagined convict road, experience the stargazing traditions of the Dharug People, and discover glowing farmland landscapes brought to life with interactive installations, ambient soundscapes, and stunning light displays at the heritage-listed site. And this isn’t just a visual spectacle; the event also offers a fresh take on the story of Bella Vista Farm, which dates back to the late 1700s and holds cultural significance within Sydney’s colonial history.
Through a mix of dazzling light and sound, the trail shares the story of the land and the people who helped shape it, including Elizabeth and John Macarthur, known for their role in establishing Australia’s wool industry. Visitors can also take their pick from some of the region’s best food trucks, serving up tasty treats every night of the show.
