Missed out on Carriageworks’ Seasonal Winter Market in July? Not to worry because the multi-arts organisation has announced the return of its popular Spring Seasonal Market just as the season of blooming flowers and glorious sunshine has kicked off in Sydney. Stop by to check out fresh seasonal produce and unwind with cooking demonstrations and a drink in hand. The market returns for one day only on Saturday, September 16.
Spring Seasonal Market, Carriageworks
Whether you’re looking to stock your pantry with seasonal fruit and veg or learn a new recipe, this market promises to have something for all kinds of shoppers. Fill your bags with produce such as zucchini flowers, asparagus, peas, broad beans, blood oranges and garlic, and take home a variety of cheeses courtesy of owner and cheesemaker Gloria Heap’s collection of cows and goats milk cheeses, including fetta, blue, brie, halloumi, soft-ripened, spreadable and curds.
Live talks, cooking demonstrations and informative workshops are also part of the eclectic program. One to watch out for is a special kids workshop and ticketed event by stallholder Maya Sunny Honey where young ones can learn about the importance of bees and the role beekeepers play through an observational beehive.
Entry to the market is free and it returns on September 16 from 8am – 1pm. Get more information about stallholders and events at the Carriageworks website.
