Callan Park Tidal Baths
Set along the Iron Cove foreshore, adjacent to Lilyfield’s Callan Park, the upcoming tidal pool will provide a much-needed place to cool off, located along the popular Bay Run. Just a stone’s throw from Leichhardt Oval and King George Park, this new spot will be easily accessible for locals and visitors alike. The $3.8 million project includes a shark net and has secured $2 million in NSW Government funding.
“The Callan Park Tidal Baths will be a spectacular addition to the Bay Run, which is already one of the best-used recreation facilities in Sydney,” Inner West Council Mayor Darcy Byrne said.
Key features include a generous jetty, dedicated swim zones and two pontoons for relaxing or entering the water.
