International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, is a time to celebrate the achievements of women and support gender equality. This year the theme is #EmbraceEquity and aims to work towards a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive to all women and female-presenting people. There are many ways to get involved in Sydney, whether you’re looking to network with like minded women, educate yourself on gender-related issues and politics or just want to have a fun night out with the important women in your life. Saturday 11 to Monday 13 March
The Sydney Opera House will be hosting All About Women, a festival of talks, workshops, and performances by women from around the world. The program includes 3 full days of discussions on feminism, politics, culture, and technology, as well as comedy shows and film screenings. This year a key speaker will be Jeanette McCurdy, a former child actress and author of the bestseller “ I’m Glad My Mom Died”. The event aims to tell the stories and struggles of women from all walks of life, to support and empower women in Australia.

Just like a woman’s beauty, jazz is timeless. This March, the Hayden Orpheum is hosting not just one, but three Candlelight Jazz tributes featuring jazz bands. Spoil the women in your life with a candlelight concert that celebrates incredible women in jazz.
