Best spots to see the Vivid Sydney Drone Show
1. Opera Bar
This Sydney bar has the most iconic view of them perched between the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Opera Bar is open late every evening and if you can manage to snag a table, it will offer the best close-up view of the drone show on the three evenings. Sit back and enjoy live music, excellent cocktails and tasty bites as you see the harbour transform.
2. Hickson Road Reserve
Hickson Road Reserve is an open, grassy space with lovely views of Circular Quay and the Sydney Harbour Bridge thus making for a fabulous spot to enjoy any show over the harbour including the iconic NYE fireworks. It’s also one of the best spots to see the drone show but you’ll need to get in early to secure a spot.
3. Circular Quay
Stroll the dazzling Light Walk along Circular Quay and enjoy lovely views of the harbour. Vivid Sydney also recommends spots like Aster Bar and House Canteen to view the Drone Show. Also, note that road closures and disruptions should be expected on the three nights. Plan your travel here.
4. Overseas Passenger Terminal
The Overseas Passenger Terminal offers one of the best views in town to see the Vivid Sydney lights in all their glory. Aside from uninterrupted views of Circular Quay, you can also spot several food trucks dishing out street food, desserts and more here.
