Vivid Sydney is gearing up to descend upon the city with immersive light shows, underground parties, the Southern Hemishphere’s biggest drone show and more. Now in its 13th year, the festival’s theme ‘Vivid Sydney, Naturally’ is an ode to all things nature. An immersive spectacle that perfectly encompasses the theme is ‘Vivid House’ which will take over The Cutaway in Barangaroo. Four incredible artworks will take guests on a hypnotic journey through Australia’s rich landscapes both above and underwater. From towering mountain peaks to striking corals, take a trip around the land down under like never before.

Four excellent artworks will take over the site, each inspired by nature. On offer is Ama — a 7-minute meditative journey across Sydney’s gorgeous hidden coves. This psychedelic artwork is shot in infra-red and set against beautiful, atmospheric music as it takes you around the city’s hidden nooks and crannies.
Take a glimpse into the award-winning works of photographer Craig Parry as he takes visitors on a journey around Australian Oceans. Craig’s adventures capturing seals, turtles, dolphins and even Migaloo, Australia’s legendary albino Humpback whale will be on display in this fascinating exhibit. With four walls of mesmeric footage and the ocean floor projected below the feet, this is set to be a riveting 360° experience.
Next up is Infinity which will allow you to escape the din of city life and get lost in Australia’s snow-capped mountains, leafy green valleys and dreamy sunsets in yet another 360° display. Rounding out the exhibition is Invincible Corals which sheds light on the country’s colourful coral reefs and their enduring beauty.
Vivid House will take over The Cutaway from May 26 – June 17. Get more information here.
