The silly season just got a lot more exciting because Carriageworks has announced the return of its much loved Christmas Twilight market. With a special focus on food, produce and artisanal gifts, the markets mark a huge celebration of all things local.
Twilight Christmas Market
With Christmas around the corner, festive markets are all the rage. Joining the fray is the Carriageworks Twilight Christmas Market which will host over 80 stalls featuring fresh produce, food-related gifts and festive feasting essentials.
Right from all your favourite holiday sweet treats like pudding, cakes and confectionaries to premium quality hams, poultry and seafood, you can expect it all at the venue and then some.
Also on offer are some seriously gorgeous florals for your holiday décor and handcrafted spirits, craft beers, cocktails and wines. If you’ve left your Christmas shopping to the last minute, you can get your hands on a wide range of food-related giftware.
Highlights include fresh seafood from Bondi Oysters, Christmas hams from LP’s Quality Meats, biodynamic beef from Greenhill Farm, lamb from Mimosa Valley, saucisson by La Bastide and smoked seafood by Brilliant Foods. Plus expect a variety of delicious cheeses and dairy from Vannella, Willowbrae, The Pines, Pecora Dairy, Country Valley Dairy and Pepe Saya. Vegan vendors include La Petite Fauxmagerie, Uproot Foods and Suzy Spoon’s Vegetarian Butcher.
Fresh seasonal produce will also be available from stalls including Zavaglia’s Gourmet Produce, Drive In Orchards, Native Foodways, The Fungi, Prickle Hill Produce and Darling Mills Farm. Baked good offerings include a number of Sydney favourites like Flour and Stone, Berkelo, Sonoma, AP Bakery, Broomfields, Nonie’s and Hudson’s Bakery. Wine will be provided by Weerona, Eloquesta Wines and Aristotelis Ke Anthoula along with spirits by Demoiselle Distillery, Headlands Distillery and Archie Rose. There will also be sustainable gifts on offer including Beeswax Wraps, handwoven picnic rugs made of 100% recycled plastic by Peek Neek and quality second-hand cookbooks from Food and Words.
Plus find giftware, condiments, pickles, preserves, nuts, sauces, oils and a lot more.
A number of ready-to-eat food options will be available on the night including drinks from Bar Pho, Blini Bar, Kepos St Kitchen and Bird and Ewe, as well as a pop-up by Chat Thai and a bar offering by Atomic Brewery and Archie Rose.
