Lovers of art and history, fashion and design enthusiasts and seasoned collectors can all expect something of value at The Sydney Fair.
The Sydney Fair returns to the Royal Randwick Racecourse later this month with thousands of collectibles on offer from some of Australia’s finest antique and vintage dealers. A favourite amongst old school shoppers, the fair offers a charming collection of unique fashion pieces dating back to the 60s. Get your fix of vintage everything as you rummage through furniture, jewellery, art, books and more and expect to find many timeless designer pieces while you’re at it.
Apart from transforming into a treasure trove of vintage memorabilia, fashion lovers and collectors can look forward to a lot more. On the planner is a stacked program of talks, supporting events and art appraisals. At the four-day event you can also hear from Fashion Anthropologist Tom McEvoy and Vintage Stylist and Researcher Lili Chen who will give an insight into prominent Australian designers from the 20th century. Even better — the presentation is free of cost along with free fine art appraisals which are also part of the event.
You can also walk through and enjoy an exhibition titled Fashion Revolutions through 20th Century which will include rare Australian fashion pieces and gorgeous designs along with the works of celebrated 20th century designers.
Additionally, if you’re a keen collector of vintage goods, you’ll get the opportunity to build your stack with all pieces available to purchase. Think gorgeous coats, elegant dresses, stunning trinkets and everything in between.
This one’s definitely worth checking out.
