Gather around shopaholics, The Big Design Market is returning to Sydney after a three-year hiatus. Make a beeline for Barangaroo and find limited-edition art and collectibles, homewares, jewellery and one-of-a-kind goods for a well styled space. The market promises to be bigger and better than ever with over 200 Australian stallholders joining in on the fun.
The Big Design Market
The market will take over the sprawling space in The Cutaway, Barangaroo Reserve over 3 days from September 9-11. If you’re looking to escape the Christmas crowds and get your shopping done well in advance, you’ll want to keep this event on your radar. Expect stalls replete with quality goods with a special focus on indigenous design. With over 200 stalls to rummage through, you’re bound to work up an appetite. Luckily you won’t have to go too far for your fill of winter warming food and hot drinks. Grab hearty baked goods, salads, tasty pho and wash it down with a selection of coffee, cocktails from Archie Rose, craft beer, local wines and more. Natas & Co will be slinging delicious Portuguese tarts while Melbourne’s Shortstop will bring their famed doughnuts to town.
Visitors can also look forward to a stunning 45-metre printed mural splashed across an entire wall with bold, vibrant colours. The mural is a creation by Tasmanian indigenous designer Annie Hay.
It’s a true one-stop shop for all your shopping needs. There’s a lot more to look forward to with tempting offers for everyone and every budget.
