Gather around shopaholics, The Big Design Market is returning to Sydney for a huge shopping extravaganza. Find limited-edition art and collectibles, homewares, jewellery, one-of-a-kind goods and much more across the three-day event. The market promises to be bigger and better than ever with over 200 Australian stallholders joining in on the fun, this time at the brand-new location of Carriageworks.
The Big Design Market
The market will take over town from October 13-15. If you’re looking to get ahead of the Christmas crowds and get your shopping done well in advance, you’ll want to keep this event on your radar. Expect stalls filled with quality goods with a special focus on indigenous design. After rummaging through 200-plus stalls, grab hearty baked goods, salads, tasty pho and wash it down with a selection of coffee, local wines and more. Natas & Co will be slinging delicious Portuguese tarts while Brooklyn Boy Bagels will dish out their NYC-style bagels. Other food vendors include Broomfield Pies and Bar Pho.
As for goods, explore Saddler & Co’s premium leather goods, Lumi’s sustainable
contemporary clothing, and Apupment’s artisan-made dog beds and grab some sustainable sunscreen refills from Solmates. Two indigenous brands to watch out for include Bush Medijina, which combines traditional indigenous practices with modern skincare and Juluwarlu Art Group who will bring their stunning artworks to the venue.
