The Big Design Market is a mainstay of the Christmas shopping circuit in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Every year, over 200 stalls pack halls with homewares, textiles, fashion, jewellery, ceramics, stationery, lifestyle products, tech accessories and gifts for kids as part of the Big Design Market. (Featured image: bigdesignmarket)
With a focus on distinctive and exclusive goods, it’s become the place to go and pick up presents that are not just a little bit more special than from the local shopping centre, but also ethical in their production and sustainability. In other words, the goods on offer are quality in more ways than one.
But, you know, this year things are different and the markets have had to be postponed till IRL till next year.
However, that doesn’t mean that the team behind The Big Design Market has forgotten about the retailers that normally fill their halls. Not at all. In fact, now the whole country can get in on the act with all the goods now available to be viewed in one giant 256-page interactive catalogue.
The interactive Christmas catalogue will not only let you browse through hundreds upon hundreds of gifts, but it is also filled with thirteen free activities, like a how-to tutorial from the crew at Archie Rose on how to make a Manhattan cocktail or how to make raspberry and pistachio cookies by EARL.

While you’re there, don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter and be in the chance to win a daily deluxe showbag containing a selection of six designer products worth anywhere between $300–$600.
The Big Design Market will be online until 29 November. Don’t hold off until then, though, with heaps of exhibitors offering free delivery with purchases made earlier in the week.
