Fancy yourself an art collector? Or consider yourself a bit of a hobbyist? You’re in luck because the Affordable Art Fair is set to make it’s grand debut in Sydney after a successful launch in Melbourne back in 2019. Thousands of brilliant artworks will be sold to the masses for as little as $100. Aiming to provide art aficionados with a more affordable and accessible model to collect art, the art fair will showcase artists and galleries from across the country.
The Affordable Art Fair, Sydney
The art fair has been a noteworthy fixture on the global art scene for over twenty years now. Sydney will be joining the ranks of London, Paris and New York when the fair arrives in town this June. Putting your foot in the door as a rookie in the art world can be a daunting task. Which is where the Affordable Art Fair comes into the picture, allowing a wide audience the luxury of owning art.
Art lovers can rummage through a number of excellent artworks with pieces capped at $10,000 and have them wrapped and ready on site. Everything from paintings and sculptures will be up for grabs and rotated daily to suit everyone’s tastes and pockets.
The program line-up features a number of Sydney favourites with names like Studio Gallery, Rochfort Gallery and Wentworth Galleries participating. Interstate heavyweights like The Toowoomba Gallery from Queensland and Antoinette Ferwerda Gallery from Victoria will also be on site.
Along with getting your fix of art, you can also join in on the fun by participating in a number of workshops at the venue. And in case you spot a piece that you love but your wallet doesn’t quite cooperate, a number of flexible payment options allow you shop freely and take some of these items home.
Tickets are now on sale and you can snag some here.
