It feels like just yesterday we were telling you about the arrival of five adorable African lion cubs at Taronga Zoo. And now in the blink of an eye the cubs have turned 1. If you’ve followed their journey on livestream or otherwise, you’ve probably seen the two males and three females going from strength to strength this past year. Their birthday also happily coincides with the birthday of their father Ato so it calls for a big pawty indeed. To celebrate, Taronga zoo has announced that it will be bringing back it’s hugely popular $1 birthday promotion. Which means you can visit Sydney’s beloved zoo for pretty much free.
Taronga Zoo $1 birthday offer
Thousands over the years have taken advantage of the zoo’s birthday deal. If your birthday is around the corner, you’d be remiss to miss out on this excellent offer.
“It isn’t only the keepers that feel connected to the journey of these five remarkable creatures, it is many members of the wider community. We welcomed these five Lion cubs during lockdown, a time of uncertainty for many of us, but thanks to Taronga TV’s Cub Cam the public were able to follow along with a keepers-eye view into the development of their precious little lives,” Taronga’s Unit Supervisor, Carnivores Louise Ginman said.
Tickets are normally priced at $45.90 per person so it’s a pretty cool deal. The offer extends to Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo as well. Excitingly, it gets you access to animal presentations, keeper talks and special animal encounters. By spending just a buck, you can enjoy the zoo in all it’s glory and also contribute to a greater cause. Taronga Zoo is a non-for-profit wildlife conservation organisation and a Sydney stalwart in the conservation arena.
