Sydney, get ready for a burst of art, culture and entertainment.
Winter is around the corner and there is already a chill in the air. One of the reasons winter is always an exciting time in Sydney is the varied event line up across town. Right from Vivid to Christmas in July, there is so much to do and so many exciting events totally worth braving the chill for. Foraying into the scene is Sydney Solstice– the new art and food festival, set to make a roaring entry into the arts and entertainment scene this June. (Featured image: Eriksson Luo via Unsplash.)
With both Vivid Sydney and the Sydney Film Festival postponed to August, the New South Wales Government’s tourism and events agency- Destination NSW, is stepping in to fill up the empty slot with a slate of thrilling events lined up. From comedy shows, to immersive workshops to amazing dining experiences and much more- the event is driven with the motivation to help local businesses and tourism and support industries that need an extra hand.
Set to take place from June 8-June 20, Sydney Solstice will be held across four key precincts: the Central Business District, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and surrounds, Oxford Street and surrounds and Newtown and surrounds. The event is primed to showcase some of the best that the city has to offer in terms of dining, art and culture. Details of specific events and line-ups are yet to be revealed so watch this space for further updates.
