Spring is just around the corner, and one of the Inner West’s biggest community festivals is returning right on time to celebrate. After a two-year break, the Strathfield Spring Festival will take over Strathfield Park this September, bringing a full day of family-friendly entertainment to the vibrant suburb. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend, with everything from carnival rides and pony rides to food, market stalls, live entertainment and activities for the kids on the program. There’s also a particularly exciting reason for little Bluey fans to make the trip, with Bluey and Bingo joining the festivities for the day. Best of all, the festival is completely free to attend. Strathfield Spring Festival set to return this September
The festival will be held across Strathfield Park with plenty to keep people of all ages busy throughout the day. Kids can tackle inflatable obstacle courses, jump aboard amusement rides, get their faces painted or head out on a pony ride, with hands-on planting workshops also on the program. Sports activities and roving performers will add to the action around the park, alongside a program of live performances on stage.
One of the biggest highlights will be a special appearance from Bluey and Bingo, who will take part in an interactive live experience for young fans. Families will also have the chance to meet the much-loved characters in dedicated meet-and-greet sessions. Places for these sessions will be limited and require advance registration, with bookings opening on August 25.
Visitors can also browse a variety of market stalls and grab something to eat from food vendors throughout the day. With the festivities unfolding across the park, there’ll also be plenty of space to find a patch of grass, settle in for a picnic and make a day of it.
