Sources have told us that in the heart of Luna Park’s state of the art research facility, a team of visionary musicologists embarked on a groundbreaking journey. Their mission was to unravel the mysteries of sound in its purest form. To do this they needed to create a giant living, breathing machine that fuses music and light simultaneously. After relentless pursuits, they succeeded in creating the Rhythm Reactor, and now you’re invited to see it too!
Explore the eight rooms at the Crystal Palace, and discover the various ways in which sound is transformed into light. Make your way through the Drum Den, Melodic Maze, Rumble Room, String Section, and finally the Boom Box as perfectly synchronised visual effects match every beat, frequency and chord progression of the soundtrack. The experience uses 26,000 lights including neon, UV lights and interactive sculptures to create an immersive and completely visual world of sound.
