How can you recreate these stunning shots of the Sydney Harbour Bridge?
I don’t know about you, but these photos have been popping up on my Instagram a number of times now. And then a friend sent the one below, telling me to look at how fairytale-esque it appeared – a pretty-in-pink princess daydreaming of the city beneath her.

And it got me wondering. Even if it’s just for one night, how do you get to living like you’re in a fairytale?

If you want to get a Rapunzel-like shot, you’re first going to need to get yourself a room with a view. And a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge no less. (Or, get both the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge in the shot if you want to up the ante.)
But for most people, that’s going to take some serious budgeting.

One night at Sydney’s Shangri-La is going to set you back a minimum $260, and that’s in the Deluxe Darling Harbour Room – the hotel’s most popular room type – which won’t get you views of either the famous coathanger or the Opera House sails.
However, upgrade to the Deluxe Sydney Harbour Room and you will enter a luxuriously furnished hotel room with breathtaking panoramic views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and all the harbour happenings. It might just be the perfect room for Vivid Sydney.
The cost? For one night: $365 without the trimmings. And if we’re being honest with ourselves, the trimmings matter.

But won’t someone think of the views?

Actually, somebody did, which is why the Shangri-La hotel has the largest windows of any harbour front hotel. This way you can enjoy the vistas and daydream your life away, imagining what life would be like in a fairytale.
Tease yourself a little and take a look at the hotel rooms and suites at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel.
And remember to follow us on Facebook for more places to stay in and around the harbour.
