Feeling a little overwhelmed by all the Christmas festivities around? PolArt Sydney is coming to town later this month to switch things up a little bit. The immersive event celebrates Polish culture and heritage through music, dance, poetry and art shows. The festival first began in 1975 in Sydney and happens to be the largest Polish arts event outside of Poland. It’s now returning to its roots after 19 long years and nearly a thousand people will come together to partake in the festivities.

About 60 diverse events will take over the city. The headlining event is a vibrant dance performance that encapsulates the village life of yesteryear.
Performances will take place in Darling Harbour on January 3, 2023, The Concourse in Chatswood on December 28 and Riverside Theatre in Parramatta on December 30.

There’s heaps more on including art exhibitions, poetry readings and theatre productions. The event gives the Polish diaspora a chance to embrace and celebrate their roots and traditions while also giving people from different backgrounds a glimpse into this rich culture.
