If you’re getting impatient for Cirque Du Soleil’s first-ever show on ice, there’s something around the corner to whet your appetite in the meantime. Blanc de Blanc is returning to Sydney for an encore season and serving an intoxicating blend of fun, flirtation and acrobats. The adults-only experience comes from Strut & Fret, the creative force behind the original Blanc de Blanc and other acclaimed shows including Limbo Unhinged and Fear & Delight.
Blanc de Blanc Encore, Sydney
After a spectacular world premiere at the Opera House in 2019, the show returns to a sparkling new circus and cabaret venue in Surry Hills. The Grand Electric is its name and this is set to be its very first show.
Cast members include Cirque du Soleil alumni Felix Pouliot from Canada, aerial duo Spencer Craig (Canada) and Caitlin Marion (USA), along with new joinees Rechelle Mansour and Melanie Hawkins from Australia.
If you didn’t get a chance to experience the previous season, there’s a lot to look forward to in this glittering show. Get transported to 1920s Paris with an indulgent dose of acrobatic artistry and risqué revelry. On the menu are aerial stunts, fancy costumes and a whole lot of twirling and balancing.
The show promises some old-world escapism complete with booze, a little extravagance and all the French flair.
Blanc de Blanc Encore opens in Sydney from January 7 to March 4, 2023. Head to their official website to book your tickets.
