Oracle at the Sydney Opera House
Since time immemorial, we’ve looked to the stars to draw meaning and understanding of the universe. And through the ages myths and legends of monsters, mermaids, vengeful gods and heroes have taken hold over our collective imagination. Oracle intertwines mythology through the ages that birthed the star constellations of the Zodiac signs that we know today.
The lead of the show, Oracle is played by the star of The Voice and The X Factor, Jazmin Varlet along with a cast of 18 performers. Expect steamy burlesque numbers, interlaced with ballet, contemporary and commercial dance. The show boasts of excellent set design which is complimented by an epic soundtrack of classic anthems, hit songs, ballads, covers and cinematic masterpieces. Special attention has been paid to the costume design which pays homage to fashion stalwarts through the ages.
Oracle was first set to be performed back in 2020 but was delayed due to lockdowns. It has since been re-cast and travelled all over the country to delight and entertain Australians. If you’ve got a penchant for astrology and mythology, you’ll want to keep this one on your radar. Tickets are available from June 29 to July 8 and can be purchased here.
