The City of Sydney is hosting a summer Open Day providing free access to Sydneysiders to some of the city’s best pools. The open day will give you access to 6 pools around the city including the Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool and Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre. A number of other recreational activities will also take place along with in-centre events. Plus, you can stand a chance to win some prizes with giveaways planned throughout the day.

The open day will take place on Saturday, December 9 from 8am to 3pm. The participating pools include:
- Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool
- Cook + Phillip Park Pool
- Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre
- Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre
- Prince Alfred Park Pool
- Victoria Park Pool
Located in Woolloomooloo Bay near the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Andrew Boy Charlton (ABC) Pool is the one to check out for sweeping harbour views and a bite at the recently reopened Oh Boy cafe while the Cook + Phillip Park Pool can be found in the heart of Sydney CBD near St Mary’s Cathedral.
Aside from free access to the pools, visitors can also chat with health and wellbeing experts and learn more about healthy living or stretch it out in a yoga class free of cost.
