Moulin Rouge! The Musical!

Interestingly, the much loved film starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgregor was shot in Sydney back in 1999. 20 years later, the stage version of the movie is finally come back to grace our shores. It has won ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical and also received eight Academy Award nominations.

The Australian production stars Alinta Chidzey as Satine, Des Flanagan as Christian, Simon Burke as Harold Zidler and Andrew Cook as The Duke; it is directed by Alex Timbers.

This Parisian tale follows Christian, a young poet who falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, cabaret actress and courtesan Satine.

Moulin Rouge! is produced by Global Creatures, and is the first Australian-produced musical to originate on Broadway.

Expect the show to feature all the songs you know and love, as well as hits from Adele, Katy Perry, Sia, Rihanna, Beyoncé and more. The massive soundtrack and score is heaven to the ears.

Meanwhile, the incredible costumes and tastefully done set design including crystal chandeliers, the blue jewelled elephant and the iconic neon sign that says: Moulin Rouge will keep you endlessly entertained.

Tickets go on pre-sale on December 13 with a general sale on December 16.
