If you love twinkly lights, there is no better place to be in this May than Sydney. The Southern Hemisphere’s largest light festival returns in just a few weeks and there is a lot more to enjoy in the meantime including Sydney Zoo’s Glow and Luna Park’s Sonic Neon. But if you want to get away from the crowds, there is something equally magical taking place in the lovely seaside town of Shellharbour along the stunning Grand Pacific Drive, less than a two-hour drive from Sydney. Dubbed The Enchanted Forest – Lost Astronaut, this sparkly event is set to transform the Blackbutt Forest in Shellharbour with lights, installations, holograms and more from May 24 to June 16.
The Enchanted Forest – Lost Astronaut
Set to take place in the Blackbutt Forest Reserve which features about 70 hectares of native forest and parklands in the heart of Shellharbour, the festival combines light, sound and digital art for a spellbinding experience.
Visitors can expect to be taken on an otherworldly journey with dazzling installations, including laser effects, interactive projections and celestial holograms. The event comes from Laservision and takes place across a one-kilometre trail and promises the perfect adventure for the whole family.
Tickets will set you back by $14.50 per person or $9.50 for kids aged between 3-17. Get yours here.
