Scenic World will transform into a luminous wonderland next month with it’s very own light and sculpture event. For the first time ever, over 50,000 lights will shine over the must-see tourist attraction in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Dubbed ‘Light up the Night’, a number of fascinating events will take over the sprawling space from April 8-30. A dazzling light maze, dozens of illuminated light sculptures and a multitude of food and drink options are just some of the many things to look forward to.
Scenic World’s Light up the Night
Not that Sydneysiders ever need an excuse to head down to the Blue Mountains but if you’re looking to get out of the city for a bit, this might be the perfect excuse to bundle up and head down to the Heritage-listed site.
Picture the iconic Three Sisters and the towering Katoomba Falls all drenched in colour and light. Even the Katoomba Night-Lit Walk will get a glow up. Take a spin in the carnival rides or dance the night away on the silent nightclub dance floor with music mixed by local legends, Hermitude. Also part of the festivities is the 1.3km circuit which connects the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Orphan Rock and part of the Jamison Valley escarpment. Get excited to view all these spectacular lookout spots in a whole new light.
Naturally you’ll work up an appetite with all the walking and posing but not to worry because on site you’ll find pop up food and drink stalls for you to fuel up. You can also use your Dine & Discover vouchers at the venue and get $25 off and with free transport available over the Easter Period, it would be foolish not to take advantage of all these great deals.
Light Up The Night sessions are on every evening from 5pm—7:30pm and the site will remain open until 9:30pm. Find all the details here and start planning.
