Get a bird’s eye view of the Blue Mountains with Light Up the Night at Scenic World
When it comes to outdoor activities in NSW, Blue Mountains is the place to be. Especially during the winters there are so many fun events to take advantage of in the Greater Blue Mountains range. Adding to the bumper winter arts calendar is an illuminated Disco Skyway by Scenic World. Light up the Night kicks off on June 25 and features an epic skyway with our favourite disco tunes curated by local artists, Hermitude.
You can watch the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls and Orphan Rock up close in what is primed to be a spectacular light display over the iconic structures.
The return trip on the Disco Skywalk promises to be a treat with delicious and warm treats to keep you cosy in this weather and scenic night-time views of the valley. Head over to Terrace Café for some delicious mulled wine and meals while taking in the 360-degree views of your surrounds. It’s the ideal winter escape for the family without having to travel too far from the city.
If you want to make the trip to the Blue Mountains extra memorable, we recommend staying back for the Katoomba Night-Lit Walk a family-friendly 1.3km evening light circuit, operated by Blue Mountains City Council.
The Light Up the Night experience operates daily at Scenic World from June 25 to July 11 (excluding June 28-29), between 5pm-9.30pm. Tickets are just $29 or $22 per adult if purchased along with a daytime Scenic Pass, including one free child with every paying adult. You can also use your Dine and Discover voucher which means you would only have to pay $4 for the experience. It’s a total steal.
