The Blue Mountains are calling us again, this time for the Leura Gardens Festival. The quaint village of Leura is set to host a gorgeous festival brimming with pinks, blues, yellows, and more. Back after a successful season last year, the 59th edition of the festival will feature a dizzying variety of cool-climate plants, striking deciduous trees, and more across the cool-climate gardens of Leura. Here’s everything you need to know.
Leura Gardens Festival
Like its previous editions, the festival will be held over the long weekend in October so you have plenty of time to plan a getaway from the city. The huge celebration promises to be a haven for garden and nature lovers.
The Leura Gardens Festival offers a captivating mix of spring gardens, each with its unique charm. Expect to see a wide variety of flowers, including tulips, bluebells, and peonies. The gardens also feature an array of stunning plants like rhododendrons, azaleas, and deciduous trees such as maples, dogwoods, and ornamental cherries, all in full bloom, to showcase the beauty of the cool-climate season.
The 2025 festival will be held from Friday, October 3, to Monday, October 6.
The 2025 Festival Gardens feature five returning favourites:
- The Braes
- Allawah
- Leuralla
- Ewanrigg, and
- Hill Of Grace
And three new gardens:
- Komorebi
- Carramar, and
- Westholme
You can grab the ‘hop on, hop off’ bus service that runs every 30 minutes to the gardens from 9.30am to 4.30pm, or simply meander down and soak up the beauty of the vibrant colours of the gardens when spring rolls around. Tickets are priced at $40 for access to all gardens, $20 for three gardens, or $10 per individual garden. You can purchase tickets directly over here. Head to the festival website for more details.
