The Blue Mountains are calling us again, this time for the Leura Gardens Festival. The quaint village of Leura is set to host a gorgeous festival brimming with pinks, blues and yellows. Back after a successful season last year, the 57th edition of the festival will feature a dizzying variety of cool-climate plants, striking deciduous trees and more across the cool-climate gardens of Leura.
Leura Gardens Festival
Like its previous editions, the festival will be held over the long weekend in October so you have plenty of time to plan a getaway from the city. The huge celebration promises to be a haven for garden and nature lovers. Expect a sea of gorgeous blooms, lovely bulbs and plants including azaleas, rhododendrons, peonies and more.
The 2023 festival will be held from Friday, September 29 to Monday, October 2.
And the 2023 Festival Gardens are:
- Cherrydell (open Friday, September 29 only)
- Ewanrigg
- Foggylorne
- Karoola
- Seasons
- St Annes
- Tusculum
The beautiful gardens at Fairmont Resort will also be open for visitors to take a stroll through. Additionally, for the first time ever the picturesque Treetops in Wentworth Falls will be open as a satellite garden.
You can grab the ‘hop on, hop off’ bus service that runs every 30 minutes to the gardens or simply meander down and soak up the beauty of the vibrant colours of the gardens when spring rolls around. Head to the festival website for more details.
