You can also get plush blankets, hot toddies and pizza at Laneway Cinema.

Sydney is playing host to a number of exciting al fresco events this winter. Also making the list is a super cosy outdoor cinema at The Rocks — Laneway Cinema. Complete with hot food offerings, plush blankets, heaters to keep you warm and fairy lights galore, this event is taking place in the beautiful cobblestone laneway of Atherden Street.

Every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm, Laneway Cinema will host a movie. Entry to the venue is absolutely free and no bookings are required. You’ll be surrounded by a giant screen along with several seating options right from comfortable bean bags to deck chairs — take your pick.

There are also several food options available for you. Head over to Tea Cosy and warm up with some hot toddies. Or get your favourite pizzas from Caminettos. You also get to enjoy your favourite musicals like Rock of Ages, Hairspray and Walk the Line with stunning landmark views all around. You can also watch modern classics like A Star is Born and Rocketman.

Its a total win-win and an ideal mid-week breather.

Give Netflix and chill a break and head outside to enjoy a fun, new movie-going and fully immersive experience. The novelty of outdoor cinemas is unmissable and you might just make friends with some fellow cinephiles.
