Moonlight Cinema has been a favourite summer activity for Sydneysiders for a number of years. The outdoor cinema brings a slew of exciting films under the stars at Centennial Park every year. It’ll wrap up its 27th summer season this March but before that, it’s bringing heaps of open-air screenings to the city. Their March program is a fun mix of Hollywood blockbusters and Oscar contenders. Check it out!
Moonlight Cinema March program
The remaining February program features Avatar: The Way of Water on February 24 and Margot Robbie starrer Babylon on February 25. Plus watch Brendad Fresar’s Oscar-nominated turn in The Whale on February 26.
Come February, the alfresco cinema shifts its focus to screenings, giant blockbusters and tributes to the LGBT+ community. On the program are The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert on March 5, Magic Mike’s Last Dance on March 10 and Triangle of Sadness on March 9. Plus Lindsay Lohan classics Mean Girls and The Parent Trap will screen on March 7 and March 11 respectively. Oscar-nominated movies Tar, The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once will also screen at Moonlight Cinema before it wraps up its 2023 season.

Once again, BYO will be available at all venues so summer night plans will be as easy as packing your picnic rugs and throwing them open on a lush patch of lawn. Obviously, don’t forget the food.
